Author Elaine Viets recently suffered a major stroke. Friends and fans alike waited to hear if she would survive, and if she did, what damage she'd have to live with. She's a fighter. She survived and she appears to have minimal, if any damage. But Elaine does face a long recovery period.
Meanwhile, her latest book just came out on May 1. I love the cover.
